Whether its an unsolved mystery, a popular misconception, or sometimes just a big hoax urban legends are an inevitable part of any culture. But, plenty of these classic myths are actually true — and the truth is often more ghastly and macabre than the fiction. Even more interesting is how some of these fables originated. Myths have to start somewhere, and oftentimes it’s a dark chapter in history or a strange effect of our own minds. Sometimes, the boogeyman is real. And, that face you saw in the bathroom mirror? You weren’t imagining it. Here are one of the most popular urban legends still being told:-

India has seen many rulers and invaders and each of them has gifted India with their own architectural wonder. Hence, India is blessed with the most beautiful and ancient Baolis which are known for the awe-gaping historic beauty.

Among many baoli's, there is a famous of all, " Ugrasen ki Baoli ". It is famous for it's horrified era, which still haunts the travelers. There are many sayings which states that, " A ghoul of couple can be seen, or sometimes a lady in white behind the walls. "

Ugrasen ki Baoli was originally built by Maharaja Ugrasen, during Mahabharat era. It is said that the baoli was filled with black water. It was a cursed water, which hypnotizes the person to commit suicide. It was initially developed to punish the ones who had broken any rule, or done something miserable.

It is believed that the boali is the resident of all the spirits who are living even after their death. It is also said that, the ones who committed suicide in the baoli, their dead bodies were never cremated because the bodies were not found ever. They were disappeared in the black water.

While going deeper the sounds totally vanish only what remains that is echo of our own footsteps. As this sounds becomes more louder in a complete vacuum silence, the atmosphere turns more uncanny feelings. A strong eerie presence felt by visitors in there.
There is a huge well beyond the baoli, which is even haunted, because it can be seen through a small opening in the very lower part of baoli, where stairs end. And that is dark, that you can't see anything through it, till the time you use torch.

But use your torch carefully, might happen a ghoul of spirit be there suddenly, and hypnotizes you to commit suicide, like they did. It's dangerous to travel such a place, who knows when he gets hypnotized, and commits suicide.
